Predict & Earn: The MetisChamps User-guide

From July 25th to August 11th, be ready to flex your prediction skills! The 2024 Olympic Games have begun, and Metis, in collaboration with our ecosystem partners, is thrilled to unveil the ultimate fusion of sports and crypto — MetisChamps, our Olympic Games Prediction Challenge. We are proud to present this campaign that is set to connect global communities through competition, heritage, and most importantly, fun! 

MetisChamps Overview

MetisChamps is a prediction-based game where you can wager your CHAMPS tokens to forecast the outcomes of Olympic events. Our platform provides an interactive experience, enabling you to make predictions, monitor results, and receive rewards based on your accuracy. Each prediction requires METIS token for gas fees to ensure a smooth and secure transaction process. Metis gas fees have been lowered recently to compete with the lowest in the industry. The goal of the MetisChamps campaign is to unite the global community through a shared passion for crypto and the Olympics.

 Game Requirements:

• CHAMPS Token

CHAMPS is your gateway into MetisChamps! CHAMPS is a transferable play token that allows you to wager them in each prediction challenge. You receive more CHAMPS tokens if you win the prediction challenge. A primary CHAMPS token allocation will be transferred to users who sign up on https://champs.metis.io to predict a wide array of Olympic events.

How to Earn More CHAMPS Tokens: You can earn more CHAMPS tokens by using the website widget on https://champs.metis.io/ and completing various tasks. Additionally, participate in activities organized by our ecosystem partners and community managers.

Note: CHAMPS tokens are used to participate in the Olympic prediction challenge, but holding them alone doesn't guarantee rewards. 

• METIS Token for Gas Fees
  ‍The campaign will be hosted on the Metis network. To participate in the challenge, ensure you have Metis tokens in your wallet to cover the gas fees for making a prediction. METIS tokens can be acquired through the following ways:
  

• Bridge to Metis: If you have tokens on other networks, bridge them to Metis through Metis Bridge or from CEXs.
• Swap to METIS: Use Hercule and Netswap to swap your existing tokens for METIS.
• Buy METIS: Purchase METIS directly from our partners at Alchemy and Banxa for easy transactions.

Game Rules

• Event List: Starting July 26th, the platform will update and add games for prediction by closely monitoring the Olympic schedule. We aim to have each game available for prediction at least 24 hours before it begins.
• Prediction Timing: The specific cutoff time for predictions will be determined by the event organizers based on the type of event, typically closing at 30-50% into the game. Please make your predictions early to ensure you don't miss the cutoff!

Complete your predictions before halftime of each event ends. You can place multiple predictions on the same event and predict outcomes for both teams.

• Dynamic Odds: When the prediction period starts and users begin making predictions, dynamic odds will be generated. These odds will change based on the amounts predicted on each team, with the final odds being set when predictions close at halftime.
• Results Announcement: The results and rewards for predictions will be announced within 3 hours after the event ends.

How to Play MetisChamps

1. Log In: Access the MetisChamps platform , click on the Profile Icon in the top right corner to connect your wallet. 

- Choose a connection method such as WalletConnect, MetaMask, email, etc.

- Confirm the permissions and sign the request in your wallet.

2. Select Active Events: Select the date and then choose the active prediction event.

3. Make Predictions: Enter the number of CHAMPS tokens you would like to stake. Click the PREDICT button. Approve the amount you wish to use for your prediction, then click NEXT and APPROVE. Finally, confirm the transaction in your wallet and ensure you have enough Metis tokens to cover the gas fee.

4. Track Results: Monitor the results to validate your predictions. Earn CHAMPS tokens based on prediction accuracy to improve your ranking.

How to get CHAMPS tokens from MetisChamps site

Users can earn additional CHAMPS tokens by completing tasks on https://www.metis.io/ and https://champs.metis.io. Please refer to the user guide below for detailed instructions.

Step 1. Sign up using Wallet Connect, email, or your social accounts like Twitter, Discord, Twitch, or GitHub.

Step 2. Fill in your account details: enter your name, email, and connect your social accounts.

Step 3. Complete the available tasks and earn CHAMPS

Complete tasks and claim your points.

Please note that 1 point equals 1 CHAMPS token. After completing all the quests, users will receive their CHAMPS tokens within 24 hours. Alternatively, all CHAMPS tokens will be airdropped directly to your wallet at 9 AM EST everyday. Check your wallet to confirm you've received your tokens promptly!

Ranking and Rewards

Ranking Criteria

• Primary Criterion: Based on the number of CHAMPS tokens earned through prediction activities on the platform.
• Secondary Criterion: In the event of a tie, the number of sports events predicted and won will determine the ranking.

Reward Distribution

• Special Reward: Participants predicting more than 70% of the games qualify for exclusive multi-tokens.
• Top Performers: Recognized on the global leaderboard and rewarded generously.
• Minimum Participation Requirement: To qualify for special rewards, participants must predict at least 70% of the overall games on the platform.

How to Claim Rewards

The details on reward distribution and the process for claiming will be announced before the Olympic Games conclude.

Additional Info:

Fair Play: Any form of cheating or manipulation will result in immediate disqualification. Participants must adhere to the platform's terms and conditions.

Platform Maintenance: The platform may undergo maintenance or updates during the prediction period. Participants will be notified in advance of any such occurrences. 

Dispute Resolution: In case of any disputes, the platform's decision will be final and binding.
