Metis is building the Web3 economy through decentralized governance. The roadmap towards a contribution based governance model began with the Community Ecosystem Governance (CEG) program, which started one year ago. Through CEG, the community votes to decide which audited protocols can partner with Metis and receive support. The ecosystem currently has over 40 Community Verified Projects. All CVPs can be found on our website, look for logos with a teal badge!
Community Ecosystem Governance is a decentralized voting framework to govern Metis. It empowers the community, the core of governance, to submit proposals, vote and help shape the direction of the ecosystem.
Last year we announced our plans to develop a two layered system for governance with Commons and EcoNodes, and soon, we’ll share more specific details on how contributors can get involved. Commons are interest groups which can pool their resources to submit MIPs (Metis Improvement Proposals). To become a Common, any community member can create a DAC and stake Metis tokens to accumulate veMetis for future governance power. Commons can grow into EcoNodes if they contribute to the growth of the Metis ecosystem and will fund themselves through a robust revenue model and outside investments.. You can read more about Governance Structure here.
Stay up to date on active proposals at http://CandiDAC.org, ask questions and start discussions. And when ready, cast your votes. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far. We need you to become the hub for the Web3 Economy!
