Welcome to the DFK Colosseum!

The Colosseum is the home of Player vs Player combat for DFK, pitting players against each other in strategic, turn-based combat. Challenge your friends, challenge your enemies, and grow stronger as you progress! Read on to learn more about how to get started, pick a team, and engage in this competitive and fun gaming experience.

1. Preparation:

• Choose Your Team: Pick from various classes specializing in damage, healing, or tanking. Visit the Barkeep in the Docks to shop for Heroes. Common teams include:
  • Warrior (frontline, tank & short-range damage)
  • Priest (healer)
  • Archer (high damage, low defence).

• Choose Your Skills: As your Hero levels up, unlock new tiered skills suited for different situations. You’ll select skills when joining or creating a Bout.
• Equipment: Your Hero does have basic gear, but it’s old and rusty and may not be very effective. You can power up your Hero with better weapons, armor, and more.  Check the Equipment Hub on the left side of the screen to browse the equipment shop, or win equipment in PvE and some select future PvP content!
• Potions: Select from 9 potions, each offering unique benefits like health/mana restoration, speed boosts, or defence from negative status effects. Visit the Bazaar in the Docks to shop for all your potion needs.

2. Customization:

• Bout Settings: Customize match rules—set Hero levels, class restrictions, turn timers, potion limits, and more. Visit the Registry to start or join a Bout!

3. Gameplay:

• Turn-Based Combat: Strategize and act, like in chess, where each turn impacts the match outcome.
• Time Bar: Monitor combat turns and adjust for speed or faster actions.
• Ticks & Status Effects: Ticks measure time, and status effects (Stun, Blind, Poison) impact the flow of battle.
• KOs: Heroes knocked out (KO’d) recover after battle, with future updates introducing riskier mechanics like permanent Hero death.

4. Rewards & Spectating:

• Speculation System: Stake Heroes, predict outcomes, and earn rewards for correct guesses, as well as passive fee sharing and daily XP. Visit the Recruiter in the Registry to Pledge your Heroes as Bannermen!
• Tournaments: PvP tournaments (phase 2) will offer prize pools, and community-hosted tournaments will allow for custom rules and rewards.
