Dive into this edition for a straightforward walkthrough of our community testing saga, highlighting the different milestones, and providing you with all the necessary information to grab your reward. Oh, and if you missed community testing, don’t worry. Read the article until the end.
We launched season 1 of our community testing program on January 15, 2024. and it was a huge success! We had an amazing level of participation with over 200,000 contributors just two weeks into Season 1. Our program included five awesome Dapps: Tethys, Hummus, Midas Games, Netswap, and LeagueTech.
Season 2 started on February 6, 2024, and lasted for two weeks until February 18. The season introduced two exciting new features: "Spin The Wheel", where users could earn points by purchasing spins, and Enki, a Metis-native Liquid Staking Tokens (LST) platform. By the end of the season, more than 301,000 people had participated, with over 11 million transactions made on the testnet. The community testing efforts helped to accumulate an impressive total of 4.6 billion points.
During the past community testing phases, the main objective was to enhance user engagement with participating Dapps on the Sepolia Testnet. This initiative was of great help to the Metis developers as it enabled them to conduct comprehensive stress tests on the Decentralized Sequencer while also rewarding community testers for their valuable contributions.

Before we start the step-by-step guide, let’s dive into the rules and criteria for Metis community testing rewards.
Please note that while all community testing participants are eligible for xMetis rewards, the final selection of winners was determined based on the Elite Helmet. The specific criteria is outlined below:
1. Ranking Across the Top 33% of contributors.
2. Completion of all tasks in both Season 1 and Season 2 of the community testing.
3. Adherence to fair play guidelines by Elite Helmets, specifically avoiding any form of Sybil attack strategies.
- User didn’t claim test tokens directly from the bot strictly after 4 PM UTC on January 15th, without any instances of front-running.
- User didn’t delete Telegram accounts after claiming to claim more test tokens with new accounts.
- User didn’t employ any other type of sybil strategies.
*Addresses that acquired the Elite Helmet from secondary markets by 13:00 EST on March 25th were included in the snapshot.
Claim 30% of your total eligible amount.
Claim 65% of your total eligible amount. (Assuming linear progression)
Claim 100% of your total eligible amount.
Half vested for 12 months: Claim 50% (of the total amount) at 100%.
Half vested for 1 month: Claim 50% (of the total amount) at 30%.
Total rewards: $993,225 worth of Metis token at the current price
The conversion rate between Metis and USD for this reward is the average of Metis price in USD for the days between 2024-03-14 to 2024-03-20 (for open date, inclusively). A day's price is the average between its lowest and highest price. The price data was obtained from Coinmarketcap. The final exchange rate stands at approximately 1 METIS = 106.79 USD.

3. In this section, you can check your Metis token balance, view the deadline for claiming rewards and determine the amount of xMetis tokens you are eligible for.
4. This table displays your vested positions. You can click on “Claim” your vested position here and then confirm the transaction in your wallet.
After clicking on the "Claim" button, it will become disabled.
In case you notice that the “Claim” button is not clickable, there is another way to proceed. You can click on the “Reset” button instead. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm the reset of your vested position. Please note that once you do this, you won't be able to undo the action, and the time passed until this point won't count. If you agree to move forward then click on "Continue".
5. After clicking on “Continue”, the redeem popup will appear as shown in the image below.

6. Select your redeem duration. You have the option to redeem for less than the full amount by adjusting the duration of your redemption as shown in the image below.
For example,If you decide to redeem your eligible xMetis token after 3 months, you'll be able to claim 43.90% of it.
7. Click on “Redeem”
Confirm transaction in your wallet
Please be informed that you can claim your xMetis tokens after a specific period of time that you have selected. The time period you choose to redeem your tokens will determine the amount of xMetis tokens that you can claim. You can redeem your tokens anytime between 1 to 12 months, and the percentage of eligible tokens that you can claim will vary between 30% to 100%.
